Dainty Outfit: Tunic Time

Earlier this week I started picking up some spring essentials: bright skinny jeans, striped jersey tops and soft, lightweight and colourful tunics. As part of my winnings from the LOULOU Magazine & Smart Set itGIRL contest, I received $1000 to spend at Smart Set, so I decided to finally make a dent in that! I’ve been really impressed with their collections lately – they’ve really upped their fashion game and they have some amazing stuff coming out this spring/summer!

Most of the stuff I picked up is too “spring” to wear right now, but with such mild temperatures this week, I decided to wear my new fuchsia tunic for casual Friday. The colour works well for all seasons, especially on a gloomy day like today! I love the relaxed fit of this button up tunic and how it’s a little longer in the back.

I paired it with my waxed black skinny jeans, moto boots, black/gold jewellery and my burgundy Minkoff bag. I opted for contrasting bold red lips for a little fun! In the spring, I would pair this bright cozy tunic with bright cyan blue jeans and perhaps some canary yellow accessories for a little playful colour blocking!

PS – I’m totally obsessed with my new lip tar from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics! It’s so beautifully pigmented and it’s vegan too! This shade is called Stalker and I picked it up at Sephora at the Eaton Centre. They have a ton of colours and other great makeup too. For a little extra shine, you can top it with your favourite gloss…for me it’s Rosebud Salve Image may be NSFW.
